The Joslin Diabetes Track is focused on exploring and discovering new ways to manage the chronic disease condition that affects 8.3% of the US population: diabetes.* Teams will have the chance to hack away at one the most pressing health concerns in the nation to create innovative and bold solutions over the course of the weekend. Prototypes will aim to enable patients and caregivers to better manage and track medication, affect positive behavior changes that promote healthier lifestyles, as well as better detect and track key physiological characteristics of diabetes through use of device sensors. As an added plus, John Brooks, CEO of Joslin will kick-off the hack-a-thon with an inspiring keynote that you won’t want to miss!
This track is perfect for hardware engineers, those experienced in image processing or app development, as well as clinicians who aspire to help patients find better ways to manage, monitor and administer medicine for their condition.
